About me

Hey! I’m Hayley. I’m a former sports reporter and writer, but after becoming pregnant with my first child while being “advanced maternal age” I felt compelled to start a podcast honoring mothers who are over 35 and beyond.

For me, I found so little content out there for “older” women hoping to get pregnant. I wanted to hear about women who had safely given birth over 35 and early forties. I craved inspiration and reassurance that everything would be ok despite being of “advanced maternal age”.

I was single for most of my thirties. There were times when I thought maybe a baby WASN’T in my future. After all these years of focusing on my career and other things, had I “missed the boat?”

See, that’s the great thing about life - you never know how it will play out, and that’s what’s so great about it! This podcast I hope will in time help and inspire women who are seeking that tiny bit of light.

What I aim to create here at Birthing Beyond 35 is a community where women of all ages can come and hear uplifting, hopeful, and inspiring stories about giving birth later in life.

A woman’s body is more capable than we at times give it credit for - you CAN have a healthy and happy pregnancy.

Together we can change the narrative

It’s perfectly fine if you’re over 35 and have yet to figure it out
